'The plant is said to have a feel-good almost aphrodisiac quality, and I have to say, we felt good.
But more significantly, we did not even think about food. Our brains really were telling us we were full. It was a magnificent deception.'

Tom Mangold

In the Kalahari desert of Southern Africa, grows a cactus called the Hoodia. The San Bushmen, one of the world's oldest and most primitive tribes, has been eating the Hoodia for thousands of years to stave off hunger during long hunting trips.

When South African scientists were routinely testing it, they discovered the plant contained a previously unknown molecule, which has since been christened P57. Animal trials were carried out by feeding the Hoodia plant to Rats, a species that has a large appetite and will eat almost anything; the results were stunning - the Rats stopped eating completely!

When the first human clinical trial was conducted, a morbidly obese group of people were placed in a unit in which the volunteers were only able to read papers, watch television, and eat.

Half the group were given Hoodia, half a placebo. Fifteen days later, the Hoodia group had reduced their calorie intake by 1,000 a day.

The trial was a stunning success.

FAQ:

How does it work?

There is a part of your brain, the hypothalamus, in which there are nerve cells that sense glucose sugar. When you eat, blood sugar goes up because of the food, these cells start firing and tell your brain your stomach is full. Hoodia contains a molecule that is about 10,000 times as active as glucose. It goes to the hypothalamus and actually makes those nerve cells fire as if you were full. You have not eaten. Nor do you want to.

What do the patches contain?

Hoodia Gordonii: Extract 20:1 10 mg
Citrus Aurantium: Extract 12:1 0.75 mg (Standardised to contain 90% Synephrine)
Paullinia Cupana: Extract 4:1 24 mg (Standardised to contain 22% Caffeine)

How do I use them?

Place one patch each day to a dry, clean, hairless area of your skin (to avoid possible irritation, put the patch on a different area of skin every day).

After 24 hours, remove the previous day's patch and replace with a new patch in a slightly different position to allow the skin to breathe.

Are patches better than pills?

We believe they are. The skin is the body's largest organ. Digesting pills can take hours to reach your system and can lose strength during this time. Ingredients administered through the skin are absorbed through the body immediately and evenly. Patches are easy and safe to use, the dosage is consistent and you only have to put one on a day and you are done. Patches are safer than pills and can simply be removed as and when. Pills need a capsule to contain the active ingredients and you don't always know what the capsule is made from, this is particularly relevant to vegetarians as capsules are often made of animal products.

Consult your doctor prior to starting any weight loss programme. Do not us if pregnant, lactating, sensitive to iodine, have high blood pressure, diabetes or heart diseases. In a unlikely event that you experience any side effects or adhesive allergies, stop use immediately. Not recommended for children under the age of 12. This product is not meant to treat, cure or diagnose any disease or illness.

Anything else?

Try and drink plenty of water when using the patches as it seems to help give better results.
